See that's weird, because at the Gamestops/EB's here Midnight releases are done only for people who have preordered.

I guess it depends on where you live. If you're out in the middle of nowhere then I would say do it. I've never preordered a game and never will. Every game I've wanted I've found pretty easily.

Well, if that's the case then I could see preordering. But the majority of people who preorder are in metro areas with tons of stores doing midnight releases that don't sell out.

Based off my negative experiences and seeing game store employees conning unsuspecting parents and kids into preordering cause they "might" sell out, I think it's a scam and hate it with all my being!!! But to each his own.

I can see that. The guys who work there get on my got damn nerves. For everyone decent Gamestop employee there is about 8 idiots.

It's just the best option for me, but I am in a city that's about 110k. if I was in Houston or LA a major city I might not preorder either.

For me, it's knowing I will have the game at Midnight and no worries (so far no problems).

Believe me bro, I know about Waco. I grew up an hour east of there and Waco was our only connection to the "big city," if that tells you how remote we were. I would've been floored at the idea of midnight releases back then!

I think it depends on where you live. If you live in some small rural town that doesn't have many stores or options, it's probably best to pre-order. Where I live, there are 3 targets, 1 best buy, and about 10 gamestops/game crazy within a 5 mile radius, so I've never had a problem with a game being sold out.
