Botched FG in Demo

I've played the demo quite a few times and I have never seen this before. I made a thread for it because it was o so very odd. I was kicking the extra point and before I started to kick the holder turned to the right so he was not in position to catch it and hold it. The ball was snapped and it flew back and hit the ground. When it hit the ground they blew the whistle and said something about an incompletion. I wish I could see the stats to see if the Long Snapper got a Throw attempt for that. It doesn't bother me that odd things would happen every once and a while but it should be a loose ball not a dead ball when it hit the ground.

Saw this just one time, in 08, and laughed hysterically when it happened.

Was the play whistled dead because that is suppose to be a live ball

Indeed, a botched snap results in a live ball, the play should not have been whistled dead unless the ball was recovered and downed. Sounds like a bug to me.

Re: Botched FG in Demo

Saw this one yesterday, thought I had escaped into overtime when the ball hit the ground. But since they whistled it dead, they just kicked the game winning field goal on the next play.

Same thing happened to me in the demo too, but it was in overtime, and it was the cpu that did it, so I won the game. It happened a few times on 08 too, but it's fairly rare.
