When do we get next-gen AI ?

From the previews I have been reading it seems the INT problem has been improved with sliders. So, I have to find something else to complain about.......(even though i am really excited for this game more-so that any other in the past).

It seems as though the play calling is bland and predictable and the CPU offense does not take chances down field. This could become annoying. So my question I pose to you experts is when do we get a next gen AI system because it sounds like 09 does not. (I have gathered most of my opinions from Bill's blog)

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

I agree. Why isn't there lots of team sliders like in college hoops?

It shouldn't just be run vs. pass. That means Florida State is going to be playing the same as Iowa.

Power running vs. finesse running

Power formations vs. spread

Tendency for deep vs. west coast

Zone vs. man

Blitzing vs. standard

Risky vs. conservative

I would like to see more in depth team sliders ala nba 2k8. then again, I'd like to see advance scouting and specific team tendencies as well. I hope it happens one day, but until then, if the game is fun, the game is fun.

I think they should just give each coach tendencies and a gameplan. Give each coach settings like what hawkeyekid said above. That way if a new coach comes in the team will adopt his gameplan. Also if you could steal a little from head coach and have the players ratings vary based on which system they're a better fit for that would add a little more to recruiting. If my coach runs a system that emphasises man coverage I want to go after the CB's that match that.

This would also give you that period when a new coach is hired where a team is trying to adjust to a new style of play (if the new coach differs). And if you decide to move on to a new job maybe you'll go to a school that has ran a similar system to yours to make the transition period easier and quicker.

Well if you think about it having the CPU try and go downfield would be more fun for the casual gamer. It would be great to see the CPU recognize that their is 1-on-1 downfield and they can take a shot for the home run.
