You mean they would already be patching the "wide open gameplay" feature with a wider open style?

That wouldn't show much confidence in their product, unless towards the end of the development cycle they found a way to really enhance the feature and then went through with it.

That and the one dimensional QB AI, which is something they had fixed in Madden. Considering that both kickoffs and QB AI didn't seem to be an issue in Madden it may be possible that these were simpler to fix in a small update rather than a full fledged patch that we might get further down the line.

For starters, I know EA recognizes the issues with pass rush and the return game, so those would definitely make the list. I have also heard that the AI tends to make a lot unnecessary moves in the open field that cost them touchdowns or big gains.

I can't really think of anything other than something EA server related if there aren't any changes to release date or release date.
