Anyway, after reading about the roster glitch I spent the last hour or so editing the entire roster for Texas A&M (including creating two players) and didnt have a single problem with the game freezing, didnt happen once. I have PS3 hardware version 2.41 and didnt do anything special. I'm goign to start editing rosters for another team or two and see what happens, but this far I havent had any problem whatsoever, so maybe the issues other people are having are just isolated incidents?

I did, however, notice an odd glitch in the first game I played with edited rosters. I kicked off to Arkansas State and their return man was invisible....just a floating ball moving downfield. The game still sensed it I guess and I tackled him, but it was weird. Maybe has something to do with rosters? Didnt happen before...

I put in all the names for Michigan, too, without issue. But from what the other guys have said, it seems the problem pops up when putting in multiple teams at a time.

Unfortunately the invisible player really isn't that odd of a glitch.

Update:

After editing the entire rosters of 5 teams and at least some players on 5 others, I have yet to experiance my game freeze, nor have I seen the teams dissapearing

I can confirm, however, that the invisible return man is linked to roster editing. When using default rosters, it never happens, and it happens at least once in every game I've played with altered rosters.

Guys,
Look I am 98% confident I have found the work around in regards to naming players, and preventing the game from locking up. The more I test it the more confident I become. Again this is what I did:

1. Disconected from the interenet
2. Deleted all my rosters (NCAA 09 only)
3. Deleted the Game Data Utility File for NCAA 09
4. Started over by having the system Random Name the rosters
5. Began to edit in the real names.

I don't know about the disappearing teams or anything, but I am 98% sure this fixes the initial bug involving the lock-ups.
