Yes and No.I am praising the game, but I am also pointing out the glaring flaws/glitches. I was thinking I was the only one that actually liked the game. Also the threads that "bash" the game in a constructive manner USUALLY stay open. Its the ones that say "EA sucks" "Lazy A$$es" etc... those are the ones that get shut down.

What football game has ever been realistic? not any 2k, Madden, Ncaa, Fever, etc.

Any other football game ever released, has never been close to realism, because i could list over easily 20 gameplay problems with every game u think is "realistic"...

so I dont know what people are expecting, just because its 09, people expect to see a game like they would on CBS....

well lemme tell u something... other games may have had better pass rushing and pursuit angles, but i could list much MORE things that is does have better gameplay than the past...

The thing is, people think theyre easily impressed and satisfied because they know exactly what they want, then they realize something isnt in the game... and they freak out, go online, try to find others who will complain just like them to make them feel better.... but in the end, youre really just nitpicking and bitching, because football games have never progresed to match peoples expectations, mine or yours.....so ive concluded people are just whiners here. or young...

Bottom line : a college football game is just more fun when it's a little more offensive and there is more scoring, however from what I have seen online thus far there are some players out there that flat out have the defensive knowledge it takes to be good at this game.

PLUS !! There is easily more scoring in college football than Pro anyway's

The better and the more I learn defense in this game the more I Love it !! Really seems to be a bit of a learning that you have to do on your own without the defensive video tutorials this year.

I really think it's not easy probably impossible for EA to create a game that's going to make both online and offline players happy......I'm an online guy and I'm Very Happy !!

The more I play the game myself the more I enjoy and it's even much better when you find an opponent that enjoys playing a college football game the way it's suppose to be played.

As far as kick and punt returns go online, I think it's perfect and much better than doing returns in any other football game......It's nice knowing you have a chance to actually take it the HOUSE !!

Defensive line does seem off a little off, but it's no game killer by no means.....IMO

CHEEEEEEEZ BOYZ !! are the only thing that kills the gameplay in this game online.

You know quick hikes all the time or running hurry up offenses all the time

Good Job !! EA and don't patch with the gameplay too much just because most people out there don't like taking the time it takes to learn a game.

This game is ballin.

I was a huge EA ***** the last couple of years, but this game is fun and thats the bottom line for me. I can see how someone would be annoyed by no pass rush and poor pursuit angles, but the pros outweigh the cons IMO.

Even 2k5 had serious gameplay issues.

I think NCAA 09 is one of the best football games ever.

here's the difference and part of what many people are complaining about - in your clip, the texas defenders actually forced Ginn to run out of bounds, in the game, they would have escorted him all the way downfield into the endzone. it's convoy blocking but instead of your blockers creating the convoy, it's the defenders. plus the game allows almost anyone to make the defense respond this way, not just one of the fastest players in recent ncaa history.

btw - that video is of the top 15 plays for OSU that year - this stuff happens virtually EVERY game in ncaa 09 (against the cpu that is)

There is more scoring in college games, but the dev's "take" on it seems to be that higher scoring translates into more arcade like gameplay. The truth is, the reason there is "wide open gameplay" in college is because the defense isn't quite as big or as fast as they are in the NFL. I mean if you were an option team in the NFL your QB would get killed. That doesn't mean that college games should have stuff like odd double spin moves that aren't even humanely possible. There are some big hits in the game too but there's this one animation where if your guy gets hit around his legs he will literally flip up like 5 feet in the air before landing.

College games should be more wide open due to slightly worse defenders and the talent gap of a really good player vs an average player. They shouldn't be wide open because of arcade like gameplay
