Hot Routes Audible Options missing

Hello,
I was playing a game and about 2/3 of the way through, I lost all ability to call hot routes and audibles. When I pressed the appropriate buttons, the only option I'd get was the "cancel" button. Does anyone know why this is happening?

sometimes the game hides the display. I believe the way to turn it back on is RT. Or LT. Try em all. It happens to me all the time.

Even though there's no display, I press Y and I don't get any hot route options. But I'll try your trigger suggestion next time, and let ya know what happens. Thanks!

By clicking the right stick on the 360 you can hide the hot route display menu, hit it again and it returns....

Have not seen this problem on the PS3 version, but nothing surprises me with this game. It is fun ... to a point, but the numerous bugs that are being reported across various forms are amazing.
