Question for IT smart guys regarding Online Dynasty

Pretty sure this is due to one of your NATs maybe both. Do a xbox live connection setup and see what it says for your NAT. If it says "moderate" or "strict" thats your problem. Tell him to do the same...

Yeah...I'm "Open" so I guess it isnt me. But the weird thing is....I can play everyone else and he can as well.

My friend just said his NAT is set to "STRICT," I assume that is what is causing all of the issues....anyone know how to get it to "open?" Is this a router issue or an xbox issue?

But why can he play everyone else?

I'm not sure. may or may not be something on his end. i would need to know what he has. you don't have him on your avoid player list do you? lol. if i could see the list of players on mine, it would be nearly 500 i bet.

i also have a linksys router(probably the same one as you) and never had any problems online, even for NCAA '08(except lag on depth chart and kicking meter). i did have a friend where we couldn't hear each other sometimes when playing any Rainbow six games. but we could still play, normally he would just leave the game and come back and it would eventually start to work again, but your situation is worse, as it wont let you even play.

i think it is a router issue. I was having the exact same problem with one of my friends. Try this site, it has a lot of info:

it would be the router, if he were to bypass it(connect 360 directly to modem) it "should" work, and could prove that its his router. he would need to make sure the UPnP is active, or set up port forwarding on his router(or set up a DMZ). he would have to be able to get access to his router configuration page.
