A Novel Idea

Have ratings actually mean something. Other than the obvious ones like speed of course. That alone would solve so many problems with the game. If every player played according to all of their ratings it would eliminate the need for sliders and difficulty levels. If you were Utah State it would be nearly impossible to beat a 6 star powerhouse unless there were freakish turnovers. And the converse would be true. It would also make recruiting much more meaningful. Example: In my dyansty there's a highly rated pass rushing defensive end I'd like to recruit but why bother? I could stick my punter on the line and end up with the same result. What made a game like Tecmo Superbowl such a classic was that player ratings were immediately obvious on the field. As it stands now every QB throws as if they had 99 Throwing Accuracy and every receiver a 99 Catch rating and every O-Lineman is a 99 pass blocking stonewall.
