user block shedding

wassup guys, hey i have had this problem with next gen games, i just cant shed /get off/avoid a block. the worst part is that it dosent even matter if its an offensive lineman or a friggin' 1st year wide reciever, once im in that blocking animation its no competition, i lose! i mash the r1 and/or l1 to get off the block but to no avail. so any help advice words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. also, if im just a complete ****** for not knowing how to shed a block, u can ragg on me about that too, thanks!

See my previous 791 posts in this forum in regards to this.

It's an issue that needs some tweaking.

Re: user block shedding

it's a matter of timing. i use turbo + power/swim move (whichever the lineman is best at) like the previous poster said. believe it or not, i learned how from block shedding on kickoffs. practice it there and it'll help improve ur timing. it is possible to do and once mastered, quite effective.

Re: user block shedding

Welcome to football. It's tough to shed blocks in real life too.

Like Starboy said, though--it's all about timing. You've got to see the block coming and hit the shed block command right when the blocker makes contact, which is how it should be. It's not easy to get away from a block in real life once it's engaged. But if you can see it coming, you can protect your body and get away from it.

Re: user block shedding

Use R1 and L2 to shed blocks. It works for me. Like stated previously practice on kick returns.
