In order to do that though they have to do 2 things. Eliminate Speed as being the only attribute that counts. And make better Defensive AI so it can't be exploited with money plays like half back motioning out of the backfield to an out pattern. I have alot of house rules to make the game enjoyable, but you can't expect multiple people to adhere to house rules in a dynasty.

I could recruit a team of 2 star guys and if I had 2 WR and 1 Rb with A or A+ speed I could put up 80+ points on elite teams like USC and beat mid tier teams by 100 points on Heisman.

I started year 2 of My ND dynasty after going 10-3 with basically 90 to 92 speed guys. Year 2, I started some 96 speed guys at the skill postions and beat Georgia Tech 84-20 and STanford 111-28 on Heisman. I could have scored more points but I got bored.

It has totally ruined recruiting and the game for that matter.
Stop playing 15 min quarters!!!!!

I think the speed burst needs to be cut down to 1 small burst or taken out all together. Just go by the players speed rating when it comes to breaking away or beating opposition. Maybe its just me, but I find the running game to be alot more intense without using that speed button, feels like you're actually fighting for them yards out of the back field, actually utilizing those jukes and spins to escape. You can still break big gains, but its more methodic without the burst(or just a small couple of seconds burst to hit the edge or smash through a hole).

I play often without using speed burst, but not for long, because its not an even playing field seeing that the CPU still uses it. Maybe an option to turn it off for both player and CPU.

The problem isn't the speed burst or the new speed curve; it's the awful pursuit angles.

Fix the pursuit angles, and you won't be ripping off nearly as many big plays.

Not necessarily true. Run a fly pattern. Speed kills too much. You can take a 2* guy with A+ speed and beat a 92 speed corner all day long even if that 92 speed corner was rated 90+ overall and an All-AMerican. Speed is the only relevant attribute for skill positions. In real life that Corner would jam him and do other things to gain the advantage. Not here.

I've said it before. Take any guy off the olympic track team and he'd be starting over a prime Jerry Rice in the NCAA football world and the decision to bench Rice would be a no brainer.

I agree but it's been this way for years. They need a new ratings system IMO. There is no excuse for a QB having 3 specific ratings (QB Throwing Power, Accuracy, AWR). That is just garbage. Speed burst does need to be tuned down after a certain amount of yards.
