Re: Anyone ever block a kick?

I tackled the holder on a PAT attempt.

I ran Punt Block, took the returner, and just sprinted toward the line right off the edge. They snapped the ball right before I crossed the line and I never slowed down. I got there so soon that I didn't even block it - just wrapped up the holder and brought him down.

It was sweet.

Re: Anyone ever block a kick?

I haven't blocked a FG or Punt EVER in my Madden or NCAA career (Going back 10 years)

So, either it's not possible, or I really just stink at the game.

I'm going with the latter.

Re: Anyone ever block a kick?

Ive seen alot of blocks. Not over done but alot. The key is to have a fast middle Linebacker. or a MLB w/ a high acceleration all of the blocks ive seen have come from Laurinaitis(spelling) of OSU(has blocked about 5 on me online) and Mcrath from southern miss. if you notice these MLB have the fastest acc. which makes since when they block PAT. Damn now that Ithink about it Laurinaitis blocked my Pat that would have taken the gm into overtime. ugh

Re: Anyone ever block a kick?

I'm about 90 games into my NCAA 09 experience, and I've blocked roughly five kicks. I would like to see a few more, but at least it's not impossible.

I don't think ea believes you, you're lucky if you see a penalty or two, they don't believe in penalties either.

I guess you can count this. I thought it was pretty sweet. My LB jumping up and giving the saftey sign was awesome
