Re: THE OFFICIAL-Career Simulator Thread-NCAA thru NFL

Wow, 79 yards on one catch for a TD? Then another 2 catches for a TD another game...can't wait to see what I do when I'm a starter!

Also, the one game I don't see action and we lose. That means Jackson = Victory :P

Season Recap:
So the season is complete and it had its moments of excitement. Although alot of the CAPs didn't see any time, the ones who did took full advantage of it. For example, DeSean Thomas stepped in for an injured Heisman winner QB # 14, and did awesome, coming up just short. CAP of the year goes to Ben Babtist, without a doubt. Followed by Brett Gallo, obviosuly, and then I would have to say Cameron Scott, who fell apart late in the season, but ended on a high note.

Awesome season everyone! Who will be the CAP of the year next year?

Re: THE OFFICIAL-Career Simulator Thread-NCAA thru NFL

It was a great season. I didn't get much PT, but if the two seniors ahead of me are graduated now then I should get plenty of time unless the team signs a couple STUD receivers ahead of me. I hope not.

Anyway, when you planning on doing the next update. I'm excited to see if I make the draft and where I go

Also I wonder if I can help the team make a National Title run before I leave!

Wow I hate that I went to Georgia. I'll probably never see the field. But if I do at lease I'll have plenty of talent to work with.

Re: THE OFFICIAL-Career Simulator Thread-NCAA thru NFL

Alright, the preseason is over and it is time to kick off the season. But first here are some signings that could or could not impact your player. I will list by team, a new recruit in that CAPs position. Team recruiting class rank in ()

(1)Oklahoma-3 star QB, Thomas shouldn't be too worried.
(5)Florida State-2, 3 star QBs, this won't bother Payne.
(8)Notre Dame-5 star QB, could mean bad news for Trogdon.
(12)Wisconsin-2 star CB, no effect on Gallo.
(13)Florida-4 star HB, probably not steal time from Sanchez Jr. 3 star WR.
(14)Georgia-3 star QB, shouldn't effect Norred's future playing time.
(15)Penn St.-4 star WR, could challenge for a spot against Jackson.
(20)Pittsburg-5 star WR equals trouble for Melendez.
(23)Miami-No DTs signed. Bolig Jr. should be the main man soon.
(24)Tennessee-4 star HB could challenge Porter. 4 star CB will fit good with Babtist.
(27)Michigan-4 star WR and 3 star WR...do they trust Snider?
(29)Michigan State-0 QBs, Scott is their man till the end.
(39)South Carolina-2, 4 star WRs to challenge Griffin for time.
(56)Cal-2 star HB will not effect Marquette in the future.
(96)Virginia-0 WRs...Richardson is the go to guy now!

Now here is the depth chart to start the season with CAP OVR in () and grade of CAP:

(84)-SO-Marquis Marquette-Cal-HB-5th string behind 3 seniors and 1 junior means no carries for him again this season. Not listed as a return specialist either, but who knows what could happen during the season.

(87)-FR(RS)-Tim Sanchez Jr.-Florida-HB-4th string behind 3 seniors. With Florida's stud SOPH HB turning pro, Sanchez Jr. appears to only have to wait 1 more season till he becomes the star in Florida.

(88)-SO-Lucas Law-Florida-WR-Listed as 2nd on the depth chart. Will be a huge part in the Gators O this year. And with NO seniors at that position, these guys could be very dangerous this year and next.

(90)-SO-Russell Payne-Florida State-QB-With QB #14 turning pro, the future of Seminole football lays squarely in Payne's hands. Can he handle it?

(82)-FR(RS)-Michael Norred-Georgia-QB-3rd on depth chart with a (RS) junior and freshman ahead of him..he better think about a transfer if he has any hopes of making to the next level.

(85)-SO-Robert Bolig Jr.-Miami-DT-3rd on the depth chart will equal some decent time this year. Next year he will be the main runstopper with a senior ahead of him and a junior who is poised to turn pro at years end.

(83)-SO-Mike Snider-Michigan-WR-4th on the depth chart will net more playing time than last year, but with 2 seniors ahead of him, he will be part of the main unit next year.

(86)-SO-Cameron Scott-Michigan State-QB-No new challengers to his throne atop the starting QB spot at MSU. With an OVR increase by a couple of points can he get some wins for the Spartans?

(86)-FR(RS)-Ben Trogden-Notre Dame-QB-With QB # 7 entering the draft, Trogden thought he might have a shot at starting this year. All that was ahead of him was a SO(RS), and he beat him out for the job. Can he bring the tradition back to Notre Dame? He has a long career ahead of him to prove he can.

(84)-FR(RS)-Kenny Easely-Notre Dame-FS-listed as 2nd on the depth chart behind a SO(RS). Will see some time this year im certain, but might have to wait a while for a major role.

(89)-SO-DeSean Thomas-Oklahoma-QB- Yet another QB going pro wil lpave the way for a young talent to replace him. With National Championship game experience, expect Thomas to lead the Sooners to another successful season.

(82)-SO-Brandon Jackson-Penn State-WR-He will play a major role in the Nittnany Lions offense this year. 2nd on the depth chart, he should put up very good numbers this year.

(84)-SO-Guadalupe Hidalgo-Penn State-SS-Played very well in the time he saw last year. Still sits 2nd on depth chart however and with the guy ahead of him being only a JR, expect the same role for Hidalgo this year.

(85)-SO-Dallas Melendez-Pittsburgh-WR-3rd on the depth chart behind a potential pro prospect JR and a SR, will see good time this year, then being the main man next year.

(83)-SO-Dan Griffin-South Carolina-WR-4th on the depth chart will mean limited time this year, though he should get some looks from his QB. With 2 SRs ahead of him, all he has to do is wait till next year to start.

(85)-SO-Shawn Porter-Tennessee-HB-2nd on the depth chart, but is a very close battle for the starting spot. He proved last year as a FR that when put in the game, he can perform with the best of them.

(86)-SO-Ben Babtist-Tennessee-CB-Reigning CAP of the year Babtist is poised to have another great season. 2nd on the depth char behind a great SR means the Vols will be tough to pass on this year.

(82)-SO-Captain Richardson-Virginia-WR-Saw good time last year as a freshman, and being third on the depth chart means decent time this year. 2 srs area ahead of him and there is a SR behind him, so this means next year he will be the only guy with any real experience.

(86)-SO-Brett Gallo-Wisconsin-CB-Led the Badger secondary last year, and will do more of the same this year. He is going to have to carry the load however, as the rest of the CBs are not that great OVR wise.

Pre-season awards:
Brett Gallo-2nd team Big 10.
Ben Babtist-2nd team SEC.

Pre-season polls:
1 Florida
2 Oklahoma
3 Tennessee
7 Georgia
8 Florida State
9 Wisconsin
10 Miami
12 Notre Dame
15 Penn State
20 Pittsburgh
21 South Carolina
24 Michigan
52 Cal
64 Michigan State
70 Virginia

Like I posted before, I will only be simming the entire season and posting entire years stats this time around instead of game by game. I will post important games stats though. Good luck to all CAPs.

Re: THE OFFICIAL-Career Simulator Thread-NCAA thru NFL

Alright, the season is over and ended very dramatically. I will just post each player and put their season stats, season best game, and stats for big games.

Marquis Marquette-5 KR, 133 yds, 1 PR, 13 yds.
Best Game:2 KR, 44 yds, vs Colorado St.
Las Vegas Bowl:1 KR, 22 yds, Cal 38 at TCU 33.
Season Review: Cal improved alot this year. Marquette a small role on special teams this year, did get some good bowl experience though. Should see his first carry next year.

Tim Sanchez Jr.-1 rush, 2 yds.
Best Game:1 rush, 2 yds, vs Arkansas
SEC Championship Game:N/A, Alabama 38 at Florida 34.
Capital One Bowl:N/A, Florida 42 at Ohio State 38
Season Review: Florida was ranked 1 going into the SEC title game and blew it. Sanchez Jr. saw a single carry this season but should be the starter next year.

Lucas Law-80 rec, 678 yds, 5 td, 268 YAC, 1 drop, 4 rush, 16 yds.
Best Game:9 rec, 104 yds, 1 td, vs Ohio State.
SEC Championship Game:7 rec, 93 yds, 1 td, Alabama 38 at Florida 34.
Capital One Bowl:9 rec, 104 yds, 1 td,Florida 42 at Ohio State 38
Season Review: Came up big in the SEC title game, but Florida came up short ending their National Championship hopes. Law was a huge part of the offense and wins CAP WR of the year.

Russell Payne-153.4 rating, 253/382, 3047 yds, 33 tds, 16 int, 31 sacks,
53 rush, -17 yds, 2 td, 1 fum.
Best Game:20/34, 180 yds, 4 td, 0 int, vs Georgia Tech
Music City Bowl:23/31, 162 yds, 3 td, 1 int, 4 sacks, 6 rush, -11 yds,
Tenn 50 at Florida State 29.
Season Review: Season didn't exactly go as planned for Payne, ending with a disappointing loss in a bowl. He has potential to be huge next year. Heisman anyone?

Michael Norred-N/A.
Orange Bowl:N/A,Miami 38 at Georgia 35
Season Review: The bulldogs just missed out on an Orange bowl championship. Norred could possibly move into the back up role next year unless he shows the coaches otherwise. Will he stay at Georgia much longer?

Robert Bolig Jr.-15 tackles, 7 tfl, 2 sacks, 1 defl.
Best Game:6 tackles, 3 tfl, 1 sack, vs Clemson.
ACC Championship Game:6 tackles, 3 tfl, 1 sack, Clemson 31 at Miami 41
Orange Bowl:1 defl, Miami 38 at Georgia 35
Season Reviewidn't see a whole lot of time, but proved valuable when he did. Ending the season with a good bowl win should pump him up for a title run next year as the starting DT.

Mike Snider-24 rec, 232 yds, 3 td, 180 YAC, 0 drops.
Best Game:2 rec, 44 yds, 1 td, vs Ohio State.
Champs Sports Bowl:1 rec, 28 yds, 1 YAC, Michigan 31 at NC State 24.
Season Review:Saw limited time this year, but proved a good target. With the Wolverines improving over the last 2 season, he could put them back into the national spotlight.

Cameron Scott-145.5 rating, 251/403, 3179 yds, 28 tds, 12 int, 30 sacks,
62 rush, 72 yds, 1 td.
Best Game:24/32, 343 yds, 6 td, 0 int, vs Cal
Insight Bowl:14/25, 207 yds, 1 td, 0 int,3 sacks, 5 rush, -2 yds,
TAMU 35 at Michigan State 13
Season Review:Had a much better year than last, but that is expected. What is good about that is that it translated into wins for the Spartans. Ended the season on a low note, getting beaten easily in the bowl. He could be ready for a huge season.

Ben Trogden-161.9 rating, 225/345, 3087 yds, 31 tds, 14 int, 20 sacks,
35 rush, -16 yds.
Best Game:25/34, 349 yds, 5 td, 0 int, vs Stanford.
Fiesta Bowl:19/32,187 yds, 2 td, 1 int, 2 sacks,4 rush, 0 yds,
Oklahoma 31 at Notre Dame 24
Season Review:Stepped in and did an awesome job for the Irish. He undoubtedly returned the Irish to a power house. Can he keep it going to next year?

Kenny Easley-4 tackles, 4 defl.
Best Game:2 tackles, 1 defl, vs FCS MIdwest.
Fiesta Bowl:N/A,Oklahoma 31 at Notre Dame 24
Season Review: Saw very little time this year, and could possibly not play that much next year. It all depends on if the SR ahead of him goes pro or not.

DeSean Thomas-163.3 rating, 247/376, 3137 yds, 41 tds, 14 int, 35 sacks,
68 rush, 126 yds, 1 td, 1 fum.
Best Game:20/32, 393 yds, 5 td, 1 int.
Big 12 Championship Game:18/25, 199 yds, 3 td, 1 int, 3 sacks, 5 rush, 8 yds,
Kansas 26 at Oklahoma 37.
Fiesta Bowl:19/28, 181 yds, 2 td, 0 int, 4 sacks,8 rush,10 yds,1 fum,
Oklahoma 31 at Notre Dame 24
Season Review: Missed out on the National Title game last year when he stepped in, and recovered nicely this year with a Fiesta Bowl win. Look for him to battle against Payne for the Heisman next year.

Brandon Jackson-40 rec, 556 yds, 6 tds, 193 YAC, 2 drops, 1 rush, 5 yds,
3 fum.
Best Game:5 rec, 101 yds, 2 tds, vs Iowa.
Outback Bowl:5 rec,84 yds,35 YAC,South Carolina 57 at Penn St. 34.
Season Review:What could of been...He finished with those stats, even after suffering broken ribs during his week 5 game. He was out for 3 weeks, but was on the injured list all the way to week 14. Playing with an injury like that the last half of the season.

Guadalupe Hidalgo-16 tackles, 6 tfl, 1 sack, 3 int, 30 int yds, 4 defl, 1 f fum,
1 td.
Best Game:2 tackles, 1 int, 1 defl, vs UCF.
Outback Bowl:1 int,South Carolina 57 at Penn St. 34.
Season Review: Not being used as much as I think he should be, he puts up very good numbers when he is in the game. He could be a surprise next year if the JR SS ahead of him goes pro.

Dallas Melendez-43 rec, 419 yds, 3 td, 198 YAC, 0 drops, 3 rush, 32 yds.
Best Game:5 rec, 44 yds, 1 td, vs Bowling Green.
National Championship:3 rec, 10 yds, 1 rush, 18 yds, USC 41 at Pittsburgh 42.
Season Review:Had a decent season and oh yeah...got a National Championship ring too! He will be the go to reciever next year for the champion Panthers.

Dan Griffin-22 rec, 183 yds, 3 tds, 83 YAC, 0 drops.
Best Game:4 rec, 53 yds, 1 td, vs Ole Miss.
Outback Bowl:N/A, South Carolina 57 at Penn St. 34
Season Review:Would have liked to see more time this year but will have to wait till next year. Got some good game experience that will come in handy.

Shawn Porter-64 rush, 300 yds, 4 tds, 8 btk, 2 fum, 26 rec, 479 yds, 2 tds,
184 YAC, 1 drop, 1 KR, 36 yds, 4 PR, 12 yds.
Best Game:10 rush, 52 yds, 1 td, 1 rec, 28 yds, vs Wyoming.
Music City Bowl:1 rush, 5 yds,5 rec, 83 yds, 15 YAC,Tenn 50 at Florida St. 29
Season Review: Showed that he can be a dangerous dual threat HB this year. Will be a good experienced back with all the tools next year for the Vols.

Ben Babtist-30 tackles, 2 tfl, 3 int, 48 int yds, 6 defl, 1 f fum, 1 fum rec.
Best Game:4 tackles, 1 int, 1 defl, vs Florida State.
Music City Bowl:4 tackles, 1 int, 1 defl, Tenn 50 at Florida St. 29
Season Review: Another year another successful season for Babtist. Will be one of the more dominate CBs in the NCAA next year. Tennessee could make a title run with him and Porter. My pick for defensive CAP of the year.

Captain Richardson-41 rec, 508 yds, 7 tds, 228 YAC, 2 drops, 1 rush, 6 yds,
1 fum.
Best Game:5 rec, 71 yds, 2 td, vs LSU.
Chick-fil-a Bowl:5 rec, 71 yds, 2 td, LSU 25 at Virginia 41
Season Review: Good stats for a 3rd stringer. He is my pick for best WR next year...in the whole NCAA. The Cavs had an outstanding season getting a bowl win over a power like LSU.

Brett Gallo-32 tackles, 4 tfl, 1 sack, 2 int, 28 int yds, 9 defl, 1 fum rec.
Best Game:5 tackles, 2 tfl, 1 sack, 3 defl, vs Purdue.
Rose Bowl:2 tackles, Wisconsin 31 at Texas 42
Season Revier:Almost identical stats to Babtist, it was hard to choose a defensive CAP of the year, but Babtist won based on forced turnovers. Look for Gallo to contend for the Thorpe next year.

Season Recap:
Good season, good season. With the bulk of the CAPs being juniors next year expect to finally see some huge numbers and contenders for awards. Brandon Jackson completely missed around 5 games with broken ribs and still put up good numbers, he could of won CAP of the year if he would of stayed healthy. DeSean Thomas will go ahead and take down QB CAP and all around CAP of the year. Congratulations to Dallas Melendez on becoming the first CAP with a National Championship ring! Next year will be great to see who is the best CAP in each position as most of you will start at your position. Time is running out in the college ranks for some, have they done enough yet to prove they can go to the next level? Not yet, this next year will be the most important of all!

Re: THE OFFICIAL-Career Simulator Thread-NCAA thru NFL

Pre season time again, and here are the new recruits, class rank in ():

(1)Florida-3, 4 star HBs, Sanchez will still start.1 4 star WR, Law isn't effected
(2)Miami-3 star DT means nothing to Bolig Jr.
(3)Oklahoma-4 star QB will be a nice back up to Thomas.
(4)Penn State-3, 4 star WRs, will go good with Jackson. 0 SS.
(7)Georgia-4 star QB will compete against Norred for future playing time.
(8)Notre Dame-0 QBs, 4 star FS to compete with Easely.
(11)South Carolina-3 star WR will go good with Griffin.
(13)Wisconsin-0 cbs leaving Gallo to once again lead a depleted unit.
(14)Tennessee-4 star CB to play along with Babtist, 0 HB.
(23)Michigan-4 star WR and 4 star ATH will help snider in the future.
(27)Florida State-4 star QB will back up Payne well.
(29)Virginia-3, 3 star WRs means Richardson has to do some teaching.
(39)Pittsburgh-0 wrs, Melendez becomes the go to guy for the Champs.
(45)Cal-3 star HB, is it Marquette's time?
(54)Michigan State-3 star QB might play well in the future, but not now.

Depth Chart to begin the season:

(88)-JR-Marquis Marquette-Cal-HB-Has been named a team Captain, but still listed as 2nd on depth chart at HB. Will get his first carries this year, and will also do the bulk of the return duties.

(91)-SO(RS)-Tim Sanchez Jr.-Florida-HB-Will be the main man this year as he is listed as the starter and i would expect huge numbers this year.

(91)-JR-Lucas Law-Florida-WR-The #1 WR on the depth chart, could make a run at the best WR award this year.

(94)-JR-Russell Payne-Florida State-QB-As the indefinite starter, he hopes to have a much better year than last. Heisman?

(86)-SO(RS)-Michael Norred-Georgia-QB-3 rd on the depth chart still is dissapointing, but he is only a SO, but so is one of the QBs ahead of him.

(91)-JR-Robert Bolig Jr.-Miami-DT-Will start alongside a stud SR DT. No team will want to run up the middle against the canes this year.

(87)-JR-Mike Snider-Michigan-Will be a go to guy alongside a SR WR. Expect some pretty good numbers from him this year.

(90)-JR-Cameron Scott-Michigan State-QB-As the most experienced QB CAP we have, can he make a run at the Heisman?

(91)-SO(RS)-Ben Trogdon-Notre Dame-QB-Improving on last year will be pretty tough, but very possible for Trogdon.

(91)-SO(RS)-Kenny Easely-Notre Dame-FS-a tough situation for Easely who is himself a stud FS. Just so happens he is behind an even bigger stud SR FS. Next year will be the face of the Irish defense.

(95)-JR-DeSean Thomas-Oklahoma-QB- As the highest rated CAP we have, expect him to make a run at the Heisman and possibly a national championship.

(85)-JR-Brandon Jackson-Penn State-WR-He will put up crazy numbers this year, watch. Is also a team captain for the Nittany Lions. Will also get the bulk of return duty.

(90)-JR-Guadalupe Hidalgo-Penn State-SS-Is 2nd string yet again this year...looks like he is gonna have to impress his senior year if he wants to go pro. I don't think that will be a problem.

(90)-JR-Dallas Melendez-Pittsburgh-WR-The main WR and the main return guy for the defending champs. They could be poised for a repeat.

(88)-JR-Dan Griffin-South Carolina-WR-Finally gets his big chance this year. As the number 2 WR and a return specialist. He is also a team captain.

(87)-JR-Shawn Porter-Tennessee-HB-Puts up great numbers when he is in the game, but unfortunately has been a back up his whole career so far. That won't change this year as is behind a SR RB.

(88)-JR-Ben Babtist-Tennessee-CB-Has put up 2 great years so far, needs to have an outstanding year this year to impress the pro scouts.

(85)-JR-Captain Richardson-Virginia-WR-Is the # 1 WR for the Cavaliers this year. Appears to be his QBs only reliable target. Will also get all of the return duties, as well as being a team captain.

(89)-JR-Brett Gallo-Wisconsin-CB-Will contend for the Thorpe this year as he tries to lead the Badgers to a National Championship.

Cameron Scott-2nd team Big 10
