Northwestern should be wanting out of the Big Ten, they can't compete in that conference. If it wasn't for the money, Northwestern wouldn't be there.

They are a Big East to MAC level type school in athletics.

There was certainly a time when that was true, but most knowledgeable people would agree that NU has since proven itself capable of competing in the Big Ten. Winning three football titles since 1995, only OSU and Michigan have more during that period, would indicate as much.

Anyway, I'd rather see Penn State leave and the conference go back to ten teams.
