So, year 2 of my Husker dynasty, i'm 9-3 overall 5-3 in my conference, unfortunately #7 in the big XII.

I get invited to the 12-28-09 Aztec bowl to play some **** San Diego team. They are like 7-5 overall, can't remember their conference win lose, but are
5th in what ever conference they are in...

does this seem a bit fuzzy to you, or am i falling in right about where you think i would?

Aztec Bowl? Isn't that for Div III/Junior Colleges or something? That can't seriosly be in the game can it?

geeze i'm not even sure man. i was a bit tipsy last nite when the game ended, so perhaps i'm wrong.

is there a san diego aztec team, maybe that's what i'm thinking?

EDIT: i'm now thinking i'm playing the San Diego Aztecs in some crap bowl.... still, i was in shock when i saw who and where i was playing......

well, if you were 7th in the Big 12, you would be in a crap bowl game.

It might have been the Poinsettia Bowl (played in San Diego) or the Independence Bowl (#7 Big XII).

In one of my seasons there weren't enough Bowl eligible teams. I got in with a 5-7 record. The main reason was that the Big East didn't have enough bowl eligible teams and there weren't enough at large teams. In fact, the MAC had several 6-6 teams and one bowl had two MAC teams playing against eachother.

There are like 6 MAC bowl spots. There are always terrible MAC teams playing in bowl games.

I think there are 3 (GMAC, Motor City, International)

Although this year I think there will be 5-6 since two teams are already bowl eligible (Ball State and WMU).
