with 3* recruits, its a case of finding the diamonds in the rough. they are always a few out there.

Re: 5 star recruits

If you are a big program in this game the sweet spot is 4-star IMO. They are WAY easier to land then 5-star which allows you to land more and they stay for their 4th year and sometimes even 5th. Once you get your program up and running and depth at all positions recruiting 4-stars and then red shirting them is the way to go. Forget the 5-star kids unless they are REALLY special because the 4-star kids will be just as good just a year behind and if you don't need to play them in year 1, you can get twice as many for the same recruiting time! Think of it as a 2 for 1 deal!

Re: 5 star recruits

In Week 10 of my OD, I have signed six 5* star kids, and one 4* kid. I think I have two 5*'s left on my board, but now I can focus on the 4*'s, 3*'s, and 2*'s.

really focus on those 4-star kids, you will build your program on them.

I have won 37 straight, so I think I have a pretty good handle on it

The 5* star kids I go after are program changers, not just guys with high star ratings. Like the 5* QB I just signed. 6'6, 254 with A- THP, B+ THA, B+ speed.

I've won 30+ games in a row and i can still never get that many 5* prospects.....maybe 4 or 5 per year tops.

What was your 6'6 qb's rating when you recruited him? My 6'6 4* was a 78....the top rated 5* qb i got in the same class was an 81.
