Position Changes: Can you leave an ATH at ATH?

I haven't tried this yet, but just got to thinking about it. Can you leave an ATH as an ATH instead of changing his position? If so, what happens? Can I just plop him in where I need him on the depth chart (assuming he's a good fit there) with little ratings hit (compared to changing his position)?

I'd try it out, but I haven't recruited any yet in my current season and I don't want to simulate to the end of the season.

You'll get a prompt that lets you know you still have unassigned ATH. If you decide to continue the CPU will give them a positon.

Re: Position Changes: Can you leave an ATH at ATH?

Well, that's disappointing, but understandable.

Some teams will list players as ATH on their rosters, using them where they are needed, such as Florida.
  • Brandon James is usually used at HB, but can line up at receiver and is their normal return threat.
  • Jeffrey Demps is also used at HB, but can also line up at receiver and play that position just as naturally.
Both of them are listed as ATH. Honestly, Chris Rainey and Percy Harvin could/should be, too, in my opinion.
