Who would you redshirt?

I am in the preseason of season 3 of an online dynasty as Tennessee. All the teams are SEC teams so its highly competitive.

My starter of the last two seasons at FS has graduated and i have two true juniors to decide between. I just signed the Juco, Long in recruiting.

My choices to start at FS are-
Wagner- 85 OV 86 spd, 56 str, 90 agi, 90 acc, 73 awr and mid 80s for man and zone coverage. He is 6-2 for Height

Long- 81 ov, 94 spd, 45 str, 92 agi, 95 acc, 77 awr and mid 70s for man and zone. He is 6-4 for Height

My 3rd FS is a rFR who is a 77 ov and solid ratings across the board. He could easily be the #2.

I would like to breakup the graduating year of these two is another part of the thinking.

I am ok at CB and SS so no need to move anyone there.


The questions are:
Do you think 85 is too high to redshirt at Tennessee?
Would you redshirt either player?
And who would you start?

1. No, I don't think an 85 is too high to redshirt. If I feel like I want that player around an extra year, I redshirt him, especially if I'll be losing some talent in that position the next year.

2. I'd redshirt Long, just becuase he seems like he could be an animal with his athleticism and height, and the 85 guy could be a solid starter for 2 years. That rFR would do fine as a #2 guy, so you should be fine if there is an injury.

3. I'd start Wagner, redshirt Long, and have the frosh be #2.

I would say it depends on whether or not you play as the FS if you do I would redshirt Wagner because you could take advantage of Longs athleticism. But if you play as anyone else I would redshirt Long because his coverage rating is as high.
