Why hasn't 2K Sports made a college football game? I'm sure a good amount of people would buy it. Not to mention, it would give them time to work more with the next-gen systems and perfect the gameplay, as they had pretty much done with NFL 2K5. I would assume they could just port APF 2K8 over, and tweak that a lot to make it feel more like college, as well as add a lot of new features.

As far as I'm aware, there's no license that is holding them from doing so. If there is, then I stand corrected.

I heard they did try a NCAA game a while ago and it was horrible. I for one would be interested in one with the APF engine. As for the NCAA idea- EA holds the license. I don't know how long.

I've only played NCAA Football 2K3 and it was a shambles. These days 2K would no doubt make a brilliant college game but as per usual EA gobbled up the rights. It wouldn't hurt so bad if the EA game wasn't quite so poor.

EA and NCAA signed a 6 year exclusive deal April 11th, 2005.... And I haven't seen or heard anything of a renewal... I know madden renewed... But if NCAA hasn't then they have til 2011...

^At which point, the NFL will allow EA to renew the licensing agreement for the same reason they're now fining players from sacking quarterbacks while they're on the ground: they forgot that competition breads quality.

Oh well, such is life.... Maybe, if 2K sports ever gets around to releasing another APF game (one that will hopefully have a franchise mode and not just a season mode), they'll also make a college football game, but without the legends... Maybe something story-based like Blitz.

Yea EA locked up all the football licenses, lol. Even arena football.

That's so beat. I'm sick of EA Monopolizing the gaming industry. I'm sure they have plenty of money. I want to see more sports titles from other companies.
