can we use team builder to make alternate jerseys or get different logos for a team already in NCAA?

you can't add to existing teams, but you can recreate the team and make uniforms, then replace them in dynasty mode.

if you create a team do they have to replace a team or can you play with them against any team? i am referring to "play now" games

no you don't have to replace anyone for a play now game.

so in dynasty mode we will have to make a decision..play against those generic 1aa teams or having to delete a real Div 1 team to have them...

The NCAA Strategies article says you can:

"Users can keep their team ‘as is’ and only edit uniforms to throwbacks or utilize their own design. Basically, as little or as much about each team can be edited. You can make an entirely new team or simply make updates to an existing one."
