Recruiting being fixed =
No formation subs =
No expanded QB ratings =
No pro-tak =
SS apparently being one of their bigger priorities =
No change to slider effectiveness (which were too weak) =

5 (or more that I haven't listed) vs 1 = me passing on NCAA for the first time in a decade

But, I am very pumped for Madden.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. Formation subs not making it into this game is an absolute JOKE. Whoever is making decisions of what makes it into the game and what doesn't has no idea what they are doing.

It's official: Madden = Sim NCAA = Arcade.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Exclusive Interview Week #1

So nothing about the ridiculous gamespeed.

I'll be a bit of an optimist and list positives first..

1) They have a pocket (and, most likely, a pass rush).
2) They've supposedly improved coverage.
3) They made pursuit angles better.
4) Branching tackles and 2 man gang tackles
5) Adaptive AI

The negatives.
1) Still missing a ton of features (IE, formation subs, in-game saves)
2) Nothing about gamespeed (or player momentum)
3) No 9-man gang tackles
4) No new QB ratings
5) Nothing about an improved in-game AI.

They claim to have fixed a few of the major issues. The pocket and a pass rush, pursuit and coveage really needed to get fixed. I'm not going to blast them for not adding things Madden added (though, I'm not happy about it).

The big issue is that the game is the game is still going to be twitchy and over-the-top fast. The AI playcalling might still be awful and the QB is still going to live in the flats.

Watching teams like Notre Dame run the zone read 15 times a game gets old, especially since the QB can't execute it.

Most likely not going to buy it at this point, though, maybe, something will come out and change my mind.

I feel like gameplay is still the most important aspect to selling a game and making a big profit. in my mind, new features will sell the game at first to casual fans, but what really gets the bucks is if the people that buy the game say wow this game is really good and tells their friends that it's a good game. i went to my friends house once who is a very very casual gamer and we played FIFA 09. the gameplay was great and i bought in within a week. 3 of my friends then bought because i recommended it. all of us could have cared less about any new features. we just enjoy the game. i really use be a pro (i don't know if that was in previous versions). the only new feature i use is adidas live season. but the moral of the story is that if a game has good gameplay, more people will buy it.

Wow, CB, I am amazed by how positive you have been on these boards with almost everyone being so negative.

Thus far, aside from no in-game saves nor formation subs, I haven't heard/read anything that completely bums me out.

I have however, heard/read some of the things that I felt needed fixing/tweaking/adding have been addressed.

So therefore, I'm positive about this game and anxiously awaiting the chance to get my hands on it.
