Really? Well nevermind then.

With quick subs it doesn't have packages, like blocking, speed, or run, that would put the players I want on the field at certain times. Need formation subs for that to happen.
^^What he said.

How can this be left out? Totally ridiculous!!!

I would go into specific detail about why this feature is so important but I won't because I am tired of repeating myself over and over. To sum it all up, it gives you more options than quick subs, good for spread/option teams, 2 qb systems, allows for a better strategy, lets you edit special teams, let's you put in that DE that is a 90 speed but 75 ovr on pass rushing formations, and the list doesn't stop there but I bet you all understand the point I'm making.

Formation subs, allow for more than 22 players to be used in the game. I have 70 roster spots and there are players that I want to play in spots in the game, while not having the game take 2 hours to play, not to mention that if I'm in an OD, I don't want to make people wait while I go in and put my freshmen RB in for one play, then go back in a change the depth chart.

It simply comes down to formation subs are in real football, coaches use them and I want to have the option to do the same, after all "if it's in the game....

That's a good example of why it's a big deal. Not only does it make the game more enjoyable because you can use different players that you like in new positions, but it adds a strategic element to the game.

This is a great representation of this, not to say earlier post did not touch on this, but this is the one I read. Why would anyone not want this ability in the game? The fact is this happens and therefore it should be an option to the game player.

Yes. I want to put my second strings on ST. It can be turned off online if you think your opponent isn't a cheeser.

Re: Formation Subs - Really that big of a deal?

alot of good points in this thread, initially i only thought of special teams when formation subs are mentioned.

I hate to have my starters in on special teams getting fatigue and hurt when i have plenty of guys who are able to cover kicks.

in 09 speed was so out of control that you had to hold your breath anytime you had to kick it because you couldnt control who you wanted out there to cover kicks.

Its not a game killer, but i sure wish they would get it in there....
