Need help against the stop route

Against a human, runs an I formation with a WR on each side. Each WR runs an 8 yard stop. He throws to the opposite side I'm on, selects his receiver and comes back to the ball.

I've tried zones/man, press/loose...I can't get a defender in the passing lane. Any ideas?

Play one ur self on the other side audible a LB or DB to the buzz(pink) zone. Then after ur guy picks it off talk s***.

4-2-5 max zone or 4-2-5 double lb spy- hot route de's to buzz zones on both sides

the buzz zone puts a defender in that comeback/ hook area.

the best defense for that is on the 5-2 formation and is the zone on the first page (it has the linemen going to the purple zone)

it works better than if your linebackers or cb drop back in that zone because the linemen drop back from the line and play in front of the receivers oppose to the lb or cb getting to the zone too fast and playing behind the wr

I hate how EA broke this it was ok in 08. If you played man on these routes and te qb was late throwing the ball it was either a deflection or a pic. Now they just sit behind the wr,te or rb and wait for them to catch the ball. ugh

Amen Bro, this is my biggest fear for this yr's game. If they don't fix this wr/ db thing and the OL/DL thing... this game is shot..no other new features will matter if it's still " wide open gameplay"

The fact that this issue has to be dealt with and the fact that people know how to defend it with a "special" defense baffles me.

1. Why play a guy that keeps running the same play?

2. Why deal with the cheese by running 4-2-5's or 5-2's?



Just stop playing the guy and people like him.


I can't play online for this exact reason, I haven't been able to play online since online play started several years ago. There's just tooooooooooo many people like this weasel out there playing the game. Sorry, rant over
