Well, I had no intent of buying it to begin with. Teambuilder may have changed that. It's now a definite rental though.

I guess, to answer the question directly, I would have to be disappointed in the rental.

I will always buy it, just like I will always buy whatever MLB game comes out for the 360... there are just certain things I need every year lol.

It would be really tough though if they had to somehow cut out the option to get named rosters.

What about in years past when you couldn't get them unless you yourself edited every players name?

At this point, I'm renting it first. I didn't buy it new last year nor am I going to do so this year. But the things that would make me not want to touch this game this year would be:

1) Some stupid glitch that should have been caught before the game releases that requires a huge patch (ie disappearing teams)
2) EVERYTHING on defense. Well maybe not everything, but pursuit angles and how defenders play zone coverage. I felt like all I did was play man coverage in 09.
3) Ineffective sliders. It's no secret that the sliders were busted in 09.

They make changes to these 3 things and I rent it. In order for me to buy it, they have to come with something better than Season Showdown and TeamBuilder.

if the game didn't come out, then I wouldn't buy it.

Broken gameplay. 09 had too many issues, so I didn't buy it. As long as 10 doesn't have any glaring problems, I'm good to go.
