No more time spent on gimmicks (season showdown, jump the snap, celebrate w/ the mascot)

EA DOES NOT LISTEN TO THE HARDCORE FANBASE HERE!!!!!

But the "hardcore" fanbase is saying a lot of different things.

Some thing gameplay issues are the most important.
Even further, this group has different complaints about gameplay - lack of momentum, lack of true pocket, impossibility of running a true option or read play, speed problems, defensive holes, offensive shortcuts, exploits, playbooks, etc.

On the other hand, a lot of people think that the most important fixes are cosmetic.
Again, this can be broken down into a lot of things that people emphasize to different degrees
-chain gangs, refs, having every variation of every team's uniform ever worn (Oregon's 93rd combination), having stadium details be exact for 120 stadiums, the constant demand for dreads, handtowels, or other equipment additions, etc.

So, even supposing that EA is coming on here to get advice about what needs work, what "hardcore fanbase" should they be listening to?
For me, I don't see the people wanting cosmetic fixes as hardcore. Video Games are for playing, not watching. They need to fix the gameplay side and then go after cosmetics. If you have good gameplay, more people would purchase this series. Kind of like 'Field of Dreams' "Build it and they will come!". The serious complaints are gameplay complaints.

Re: The Missing Pieces: An Updated Checklist

Wow, its been 3 pages, and not one person has posted something like equipment, referrees, hand towels for QB's or dread locks. Im shocked!

Whats missing? An Athletic Director mode, similar to Madden's Owner Mode.

What needs fixing? Gameplay(blocking, QB leaving pocket, etc), top 25 polls, recruiting(add juniors, and less amazing recruitis), computer logic druing games and during recruiting(Im sick of seeing the computer not recruit needed positions, and I am sick of seeing the computer recruit pocket passers for an offense geared toward a dual threat QB, and I am sick of seeing the computer recruit scramblers for an offense that only passes the ball), Campus Legend(apparently Road to Glory in 10)-just bring back the option to move on to the NFL or become a coach, and make the menu look like a dorm room again, I also liked how you had to take those exams for classes, and make us ineligible for a game if we "skip" a class, or dont have a GPA at or above a certain number. I really liked those things in CL.

What needs to go? Season Showdown

Then why post at all? For me, I'd like to see all stadiums rendered in the game as well as adding Div. 1A teams again. Formation subs is pretty big, physics and correct blocking execution. Better diversity in appearance among players; having no dreads is inexcusable IMO. I'd like to see the Madden team integrated with the NCAA team, so NCAA doesn't have to wait for features to be "fleshed out." That is all.

While I don't think we should write off a feature we haven't used yet, it will likely be something that doesn't interest me and a number of others. I've gotten a lot of good feedback. I'll update the list some more.

List updated once again. Keep suggestions coming -- I hope a good bit of these can be crossed out with the release of '10.

Have and Army all american game or under armour game for incoming recruits. I am big on recruiting in dynasty mode and would love the addition of the feature.
