Dude... Ian helped create this. If this isn't included for any reason next year, it will be because of the restrictions the NFL puts on it's game... not because of a lawsuit that will never happen.

You think with all the big and powerful lawyers that work for EA, you, some random internet board guy, are the one who thought of this first? Come on man...

Man some yall are clueless how the law works. there is no lawsuit to be thinking about because there is no laws being broken. On the off chance somebody has a problem all ea has to do is not allow some logo.and the nfl has a deal with ea

I do this kind've work for a living and know what I'm talking about, dude. EA's skating on thin ice here. Look for Ian's post about why this isn't in Madden. And ask yourself...if Back Breaker has a similar tool, what will EA do about it? Do you honestly think they'll allow Back Breaker's users to create the Steelers, Jets, etc. after they paid hundreds of millions for the license?

I know you think you know what you're talking about, but you really don't.

Re: Team Builder: A lawsuit waiting to happen?

As stated earlier the worst that will happen is that EA will recieve a letter from someone telling EA to get their copywrited logo off the site. If EA then continues to allow that particular logo to be used, then there could be a lawsuit.
The NFLPA lawsuit has nothing to do with this. That was the old players suing the NFLPA for not properly compensating them for the deals they made. The companies that the NFLPA made the deals with did not get sued. The Keller lawsuit has not yet played out, so there is no way to know what it means to this situation. Youtube is also a different thing, because youtube was selling add space, so there were in a sense making money off of the copywrited material they were hosting. As far as I see, EA does not have any adds on the teambuilder site, so they are not making any money from allowing users to post the material.

They should let people create NFL teams for backbreaker, then that piece of crap might sell a couple copies.

What a Debbie-downer by a NCAA *****. Sorry to let you know but EA also makes your Madden game as well, so quit being so quick to point the finger. How about you write a letter to your congressman or something like that, we dont care here .
