It's a fantastic blitzing defense and I can get a ton of sacks out of it because the safeties are so versatile in this setup. The only thing that I find wrong with it is the AI for the actual linebackers in the set doesn't work too well and opponents can constantly complete passes over the middle while my linebackers don't even attempt to move after the ball.

4-3 mainly. I sometime use 3-4 when I am a head in the game. But mainly 4-3.

Re: Your defense of choice?

I always ran the 4-3 but due to the lack of defense switched to the 3-3-5 it ha some nice blitz packages and couple dofferent zone coverages and with 2 ss and 3 lbs it does pretty good against the run

No choice for 46? I like the 46 for a lot of reasons, but with defenses so easy to read pre-snap in NCAA the 46 helps disguise your D because the SS is always down in the box.

Re: Your defense of choice?

4-3 defense. Not a fan of odd-man defensive lines.

And I typically play conservative until the opponent crosses my 40 yard line. I don't wanna give up the big play and make them move the chains against me.

Re: Your defense of choice?

If defense is possible in this year, 3-4 is my scheme of choice.
