Playcall screen interface.

Does anyone know if the retail version of the game will be more fluid at the playcall screen.

Last year, it was slow and unresponsive when trying to change the packages.

This year its slow when going thru formations and plays as well.

I hate this. Mainly because I call my own plays, and with the play clock running it doesnt help in going thru formations. It may not be that big of an issue because I usually know what im going to call. But still that has to be a minor thing.

Re: Playcall screen interface.

Are you on PS3?

I don't have the issue on Xbox 360. Play screen is perfectly fluid. No stuttering or delay when I flip through my playbook.

Someone here said their playbook screen was sluggish, but after he cleared his Xbox 360 cache it worked fine. Might be worth looking into.

One more thing: Slow and unresponsive while flipping through packages has more to do with the right stick IMO. The right stick is just finicky and unreliable, which is why the Madden devs were smart enough to use the shoulder buttons (LB and RB) to cycle through packages.
