How come the QB vision cone never made its way to NCAA football?

I thought back in 06 Madden that the vision cone elevated the game, specifically QB play by making the game more realistic. The awareness rating became more important for a QB, and the pressure was put on running QB type players to develop decent passing skills.
It gave realistic depth to the passing game.
Why was the feature never brought to NCAA in 07,08,09 is a wonder to me. AT least make it optional, it would of impacted the game significantly and elevated QB play in that series as well, and toned down the running QB.
Did EA take it out because the casual fan found it too tough?

After playing several hours of Madden 06 for PS2 last week, I really believe the dev team behind that game was extremely dedicated to a sim-experience. Whether you felt the feature "worked" or not, the vision cone just shows the dedication to their sim vision. NCAA usually seems to cater more to the arcade crowd, so naturally they weren't going to implement it.

I thought it was a great feature but the lack of a pocket protection made the feature less effective then it should have been.

I have 08 on PS3 and it's in there. I discovered it by accident just this year lol. I pushed in the right analog stick while scrambling accidentally and there it was. I didn't use it often because I had gotten so used to going without it. I can only speak for 08 but that's how I found it

I love the VC. Should be mandatory.

The biggest issues I remember with it were, as one poster just mentioned, the lack of time in the pocket and it was awkward and too time consuming to go from the right analog to the corresponding button. That took a second too much and caused too many sacks. I love the idea of it but it was too slow developing for me.
