dont recruit more players than you have scholarships available and no cuts allowed. if you play od's without this rule your dynasty will suck after three seasons when everyone is stacked.

Im happy to see the 30th ranked recruit is a 4 star. I had a couple ods when there were 55-60 5 stars.

Yes, you have to have some variation of these rules. We found out the hard way last year that you need these types of rules when it comes to OD recruiting. Ours ended up being a little different as you were able to fill your board up as much as you wanted, but you were only able to sign as many recruits as you had seniors leaving +3. This kinda gave everyone options without stacking the teams.
