Geekboy, I have some advice for you.

Don't post in the NCAA forums.

The only way that this would be a good idea, is if EA made NCAA 11 and BCS 11. BCS 11 would have all 6 BCS conferences, and NCAA 11 would have all conferences. BCS would be $30 bucks and NCAA would be $60.

If anything I want more teams. I just went out and bought a used copy of NCAA 06 for the Xbox so I can play with the Maine Black Bears. I want them added to the next gen game. I love beating up on the top teams with my Bears.

you ASSume that this would not hurt sales?!?

you would be leaving out 70 schools. those schools likely have enrolements anywhere from 5 to 20k and thousands upon thousands more alumni. even LA Tech likely has thousands of students and alumni that buy this game to play with THEIR school.

with your narrowmindedness, you should be in politics...


here is a better idea;
get rid of all the BS masscot games and the like. put together Backyard NCAA football with all this cheese and sell it for $30 to the kiddies. use that space for ALL the FCS teams...

If I didn't know any better, this is an EA rep sending out feelers.

NCAA 2011, Now with 50 modeled teams. Then in 2012 they could reintroduce the entire NCAA as a brand new feature.

Seriously, this is a bad idea. I remember some other college football game for the Play Station, you couldn't customize schedules and there wasn't any FCS teams and some NCAA teams were missing so some teams had schedules of 8 or 9 games. It was rock bottom.

This wouldn't allow us to accomplish more in a development cycle. Once it works for 2 teams, it works for everyone. The only thing we'd save time on is uniforms and stadiums. Reducing the number of teams in the game would be a ton of work as the code would have to be changed to accomodate it.

The logical evolution of this from bad OS Forum idea to actual EA implementation is this:

Game ships bare-bones, with just the base code, game presentations and menus.

Pay to download DLC teams and stadiums (by conference) to your hard drive. For an extra fee, you can buy ratings increases for your team and school for use in play now and dynasty modes.

Just think of all they could do with that "free" space!

i cant believe you even bothered wasting time entertaining this idea or the OP. Everyone knows this is the dumbest idea that we've seen in a while.
