Is Locomotion/Physics a priority for NCAA 11...at all?

Just wondering if Russ or somebody could chime in.. I think this is one of NCAA's biggest gameplay flaws - players moving like robots, turning on a dime, twitch running, concrete footballs, no sense of weight...

I ask because it is apparently a huge focus for Madden 11

I don't really want to talk about 11 yet because we still have a lot of copies of 10 we need to sell. Locomotion will be a major focus for the future, as will physics & momentum. But I don't quite know where realtime physics fits in that equation.

The goal at the end of the day is a realistic simulation that gives you the feeling where every play feels dynamic and different with fresh animations and realistic reactions. You guys shouldn't have to worry about what technologies need to be used to get there - you should just know that end goal.

Is anything remotely close to this being discussed by the NCAA dev. team for next years game? Or will some new feature we don't need take its place on the list?

Yes and Yes.

I am sure they are THINKING about putting more physics in.

AND

I am sure they are planning on making a feature only a casual fan would like.

I hope so because comparing the PS2 versions with NCAA 10's demo, hands down the PS2 version has better gameplay, none of that twitchy crap. Overall it seems that the control is just tighter on last gen.

Nah, next years focus will be improving mascot games, season showdown 2.0, and dynamic field goal nets, with bigger EA logos!

Saying we can do more is fair, saying you don't agree with every choice is fair (those are opinions)... "throwing out the baby with the bath water" (just bashing everything) isn't.
He says they will look into it. That's all we know.

They need to do more than just "look into it a bit"

Yeah definitely. I really hope they make some changes for next years game regarding player physics. Same with Madden.

The ncaa team likes the way the players move and react right now, this was planned, I doubt it will get looked into unless there are changes made on the dev team this year.
