Just wonder because it seemed difficult to get a good running game going in that formation.

Yeah, some of those formations were dead weight last year,

I'm curious to know, myself.

I have not used a primary pistol formation playbook yet, but I have used Ohio States playbook twice (with two different teams) and both times I was able to use the Pony formation effectively, which is a variation of the pistol.

Yes it does work a lot better. I've used OSU's Pony formation and also Oregon of course and you def. can rush out of those formations unlike last year.

I didn't play much of last years game but I am using my Ducks and I am running very well out of the Pistol. I think the counter is great. Oregon's OL is pretty good and when you turn up the blocking in the game plan options the blocking is sick!

The starting RB and QB are good at breaking tackles in a crowd. I actually carried a tiny DB on my FB's back for 7 yards. It was funny seeing this little guy hanging on for dear life.
