Creating a southern "Super" conference

So, I am creating my southern "Super" conference. Trying to figure out a way to delineate what teams should be in it, and what teams shouldn't be. So, just setting one ground rule, I am limiting it to teams that are in states that were in the original confederacy (so, that leaves out West Virginia, Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, and the Arizona Territory)

Sorry, don't want this to be a political discussion.

In any case, I have marked with a * the teams below that I would put in the conference without hesitation. I would be interested in others' opinions. If my original 11 is correct in your opinion (feel free to debate any) who among the rest would you put as the 12th? Use any criteria you like (last 5 years, last 20 years, throughout history)

For me, it is a debate between Wake, GT, and Texas Tech for the final spot.

You are adding 4 teams. I have 11 already.

If I need to remove 3, which 3 would you remove?

Add Georiga Tech, kick out Miami, Texas and Clemson, Add Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vandy in their place. Texas would be better off in a created Texas conference with A&M, Houston, Rice, TCU, Tech, North Texas, UTEP and maybe even a boarder state like Arkansas, Oklahoma and OK State thrown in for fun.

Miami, while in Florida, just doesn't feel right in a deep south conference. Clemson would be fine, but I couldn't think of anyone besides them to kick out. Besides, you can just do a Carolina's conference like my Texas Conference now.

You can't have a Southern Conference without Ole Miss and you can't have Ole Miss without State. Hate that my Golden Eagles still get left out, but what you gonna do.

That's my advice.
