Online play alone means I'm gonna buy both xbox and ps2 versions, xbox for dyanasties cause memory cards suck and ps2 for online play.

I don't really care for the mascot game, but the only way I can get my girlfriend to have any fun is to play the mascot game with her once in awhile. It doesn't hurt, and maybe it is a ploy to get younger audeinces as well as a female backing to the game.

Is the XBOX game really that much better? I am debating whether to buy and XBOX and both games but I would also have to get a network adapter for PS2 and would soon get XBOX Live. Is it worth it overall?

Well Jayhawk I feel xbox has smoother graphics and better sound than ps2. Like college basketball 2K3 for example is much much smoother on XBOX than on ps2, but if you're gonna get XBOX don't get it just for ncaa 2004, but if you want to start getting sports games for xbox and maybe other type games on ps2 like I do often than it is definitely worth it. And xbox live is incredible.
