RTG mode as WR

First let me say that i'll give props where props are due. The presentation in RTG is very good imo and the updates from erin/kirk are also well done.

i made a WR, had fun in the HS tourney, signed as a 7th string WR at Texas Tech (i thought they would pass more than most teams)

My main question is: Did anyone even test this mode? (playing as WR)

the potential is there, the execution is terrible...

Horrid playcalling (3rd and long runs up the middle...losing by double digits in 4q and running the ball, 3rd and inches run a fly route, 4th and 9 run a 6 yard curl)

Terrible CPU QB (he dumps it short way to quick with no pressure, passes 15 yards out of bounds, he FREQUENTLY will throw it into someone's back when they are jammed by a CB, not only my player...and the most annoying, if its 3rd and 10 don't throw a 3 yard pass) - my HS qb seemed better

Ridiculous suction CB press (you cant move on your own for at least 5 yards off the ball and the QB has already thrown it by the time u break away) -the jam should work , but the WR should have some type of controll as to when/how u break away

Call for the ball dosen't seem to work (runnin a slant over the middle and i'm right in front of the QB. hit A to call for it....my arm goes up...he's lookin right at me.....oh he threw it to the FB for -2 yards)

THROW ME THE D@MN BALL! (seriously i know how Keyshawn and TO feel....i dont expect 25 passes a game, but when i'm the team's only playmaker you need to get him the ball. 5-6 passes my way per game are not acceptable)

anyway i ended the season here are some stats
Texas Tech (6-6) (4-4) lost to MICH in the ALamo Bowl
(side note: i didnt play the first 2 games of the season and my 3rd game i was #4 on the depth chart and only caught 1 pass)

71 rec
1228 yards
8 td
17.3 yd/rec
368 yac
6 drops

good stats for a frosh, but they could be so much better if things were tweaked a little. all i want is 10-15 passes thrown my way each game. maybe a little punt/ko return duties.

i feel like whatever position u select for RTG the game should give you 5 - 10% more looks than u normally would.

WR is my fav position in any level of football and its dissapointing its executed so poorly.

Re: RTG mode as WR

in '09 on CL, as a WR you could "call for the ball" using the "A" button("X" on PS3), however, it doesn't seem to work too well in RtG(for me anyway) as the CPU QB usually throws the ball way too quick.

I've been using a QB, and started at Texas Tech. the play calling is off as a QB as well. they force me to run the speed option at times, and do a lot of play from under center when TTU is mostly in shotgun(but not 100%).

Feel your pain, my RTG guy is a WR too. The mode is simply WAY too thin, and unpolished.

Even if he caught 10% more balls it would be less than 1 ball per game.
