It won't let me run the program it says that it is 'failing to initialize properly".

Make sure you have XP (SP1 or better) or newer. Also, make sure you have the .Net 2.0 framework installed. Go to Windows Update and look under Optional Components.

Sorry but where is Windows Update? I too am lacking the .Net 2.0 components.

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

When that comes up, go to the Optional Components section.
