Why does something so stupid have to potentially ruin a game?

First off let me say this is by far the best football game ever made gameplay wise and is one of the funnest. However I have ran into one thing that is so frustrating and that is the amount of facemasks called. I am having around 8 or 9 called on me every game.

Turn off agressive strip ball.

Also you think this is the best football ever gameplay wise? Wow.

Re: Why does something so stupid have to potentially ruin a game?

are you playing aggressive defense(specifically on the strip ball part)? because you have higher risk of facemask when set to that.
But if not, I've had games where I have a ton of penalties and then I've had games where there was virtually no penalties called. It just varies from game to game.
But it can be very annoying to have that many called against you.

I dont see any real issues with gameplay other than the facemasks

Are you setting the "strip ball" gameplan thing to aggressive? If you do then your players will be swinging their hands in trying to hit the ball and get called for a lot of facemasks. You should really only use this when the CPU is trying to run the clock out and you need to force a fumble.

If you reduce it to moderate you should see a vast reduction in facemasks. Setting it to conservative will pretty much eliminate it all togethor but even at moderate I see less than one facemask per game. I still use the aggressive at times but for most of the game I stick to moderate.

don't play on aggressive settings...I use to get a ton called on me so I changed the tackling to conservative and it fixed that problem
