Injury Prone?

I just need some perspective here. In my created team my starting RB's got hurt in about 70% of all the exhibition games I played with this team. We are talking about approximately 20 -25 games. Now these were big injuries be he was seemingly always going down for a quarter or two. I run the ball alot but none of my backup HB's suffered this fate.

Fast forward to my newly started Dynasty - the player got hurt the first game (sat out the last quarter) and sure enough in the second game I lost him for the season (broken leg). In the 4 games since - with his backup getting the ball 20+ times/game - no injuries at all.

My question Was this just a string of bad fortune/coincidence or are certain players injury prone? PS- his injury rating was pretty good (88)

Re: Injury Prone?

In my CAL dynasty i have LOST the following (not a CAL fan and dont remember their names cept for BEST):

Both RB's for 5 weeks each. Best is one of highest rated backs in the game.

#2 WR for 4 weeks

My LT for the season

MLB for 4 weeks

2 DT's both for 3 weeks i think, maybe longer

And my backup QB for the season. He came in to mop up and got KILLED.

I actually kinda like it, sucks to lose top tier talent especially in their SR year, but **** happens.

I love it when my top players go down...it's realistic and it forces you to make decisions.

To clarify my question..are certain players injury prone and continually getting injured or is this a random type thing?

Some player is going to get hurt in this game. It happened to be your HB since you use him more. You said you run the ball alot so the odds were in his favor. I think it's random on which player gets hurt but not random on having a injury. It fells like EA has amped the injurys up.

I don't mind some players getting hurt...actually I enjoy the challenge. But I was just shocked this one particular player can't stay healthy.
