I didn't even have to put mine on hold last year. I went to Funcoland at 9am and they told me it would be out on the shelves until 2pm and also told me to get there an hour early to beat the rush. Well, I decided to wander over to the mall and low and behold, there NCAA Football 2003 sat on the shelves and KB Toys of all places and FOR $10 CHEAPER!!!!!!!!!

should of known that, ncaa has never came out that earily. always middle july or end.

I usually order from EA when they send out that free shipping email in June. Then I get it the day after it ships and usually before the stores.

I'm pretty sure that every year there is a vendor who has it releasing in the first week of July. Wouldn't surprise me if they used this technique to get more pre-orders... then when it gets near that time they push it back to the actual date (July 20-25) and everyone who thought they were getting it early are hosed.
