HELP! online dynasty user game connection issue.

So I've had the same issue twice now(back to back user games). basically when I send the invite we get stuck on the picking uniforms,pb screen. It will show me as ready and him as waiting for opponent. This is when I SEND THE INVITE. When he sends the invite, it will show him ready and I end up of with no option to do anything. PLEASE HELP!!!!
here are some of the things i've tried
-port forwarding
-allow UPnP
-DMZ
-direct connection from modem to 360

I'm at my wits end and have no clue what to do. I'm pretty sure its me although i've never had this problem until now. even on 09 I got my user games in just fine.

I had the same problem with a friend. It turns out he and his brother had two xbox live accounts using the same game. Being stuck in that screen is the most annoying thing. I have pretty much stopped doing any online stuff because I get stuck in that screen or online dynasty user games disconnect 95. % of tie
Just dynasty mode for me from now on.

This was an issue in last year's game too. It would happen most of the time when my friend was in a hotel. We never did figure out a work around.
