As far as gameplay its still wide open and the option is still quite fun. And recruiting hasnt really changed much. So if you really like those things, this game is still for you.

Hold out for NCAA 11. I have a feeling that presentation, atmosphere, and formation subs will all make their triumphant return!

I would say rent it. I own it, I am having fun with it (Even though I have to live with a screwed up Dynasty mode this year.) That is the main annoying thing for me. I feel that after the 2nd patch, the game is pretty good but the fact that dynasty mode is just all kinds of messed up and fatigue is non-existent just makes it a bit of a downer.

It is flawed but it is a good buy. I think that after Madden is patched, it will be a better game though..

Re: So... this game too flawed to be fun? Should I get it?

I love college football. I love video games. NCAA used to be my favorite game. But I only played NCAA 10 for 3 weeks. This was the first year I retired NCAA prior to Madden's release.

The blocking is so poor that I cannot play this game. Blockers consistently run by defenders without attempting to block them. And by consistently I mean 90% of the time.

Sometimes your linemen actually turn around and face the running back instead of looking at the defense. By time they turn around the defender has already run past the blocker. Adjusting the sliders only makes "successful" blocks more effective; it does not make your linemen smart enough to actually look for someone to block.

I would strongly recommend renting NCAA 10 prior to purchasing.

I love college football and this series but I would say pass on NCAA 10. The only way I would recommend it is if someone said they enjoy arcade style gameplay. There is just too many things wrong with this game, especially when you are playing offline vs the cpu.
