You did what??? They will only penalize you if you up big like 21 or more points. You deserved to lose that game if you were up by only one and punted the ball away worrying about a SS penaltyinstead of worrying about winning the game.

This happens because the AI does not have situational awareness. The Offensive AI only plays the down and yards to go, it does not take into account the score, qtr or time remaining when choosing a play. The same also holds true for the Defensive AI. I can’t count the number of times I have lined up for a FG, at the close of the first half or at the end of the game, and the defense had to shift into FG Block from another formation.

This is the big reason why the AI is so predictable and why all the teams play alike. But this has been a problem with this franchise since I can remember. Many have begged for improved AI for years, including myself, but we have yet to see anything happen in this area.

Just one more reason to get rid of SS. I still have not used this gimmick and I don't plan on it. If the AI can't play it legit then what is the point of SS?
