I hear Meacham may be an academic casualty. I don't know for sure, but I've seen the rumor going around in a few places. You might want to keep your eye on him.

He supposedly had a knockout fall. He was barely being recruited before that. When his fall grades came it and it became possible to qualify, OKlahoma, LSU, Tennessee, and others jumped on. He's not qualified right now, but he expects to, and the Vols expect him to be here. I expect him to be here, but i dont think id be shocked if he was a partial qualifier.

Brandon Jacobs will be highly rated but he is a JC transfer, not a true freshman. Had he gotten above a 1.2 GPA and a 9 on the ACT out of high school and actually qualified, he would not have even been on the game his freshman year. So to compare his numbers to a Chris Leak or Ernie Sims wouldn't be accurate.

The highest rated freshmen will be the ones EA thinks have an opportunity to play right away. Chris Leak is a great example.
