UPDATE THE PA SYSTEM

The PA guy has been the same ever since I played NCAA (04). Listened the other day and he still has North Texas as the Eagles, Troy as Troy State, and Arkansas State as the Indians. The guy's voice is so boring now it's annoying. Anyone else see problems with it?

They need to get rid of the excessive amount of un-televised games and utilize ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN 360 into the game. The cover says "Powered by ESPN" or whatever, but when it comes to the telecasts, ESPN is not mentioned at all. Not even in the NCAA Weekly Schedule. We still have the last-gen regional and national broadcasts. Makes no sense to me...but yes, the pa announcer became old and boring years ago.

Exactly. Update all commentary. Remember Game of the Week on the older games? Make that like the Saturday Night ABC game. Brent Musberger and Kirk Herbstreit plus Jesse Palmer, and then it would be Nessler and maybe Corso (really would like Todd Blackledge over the annoying Corso). ESPN 2 would be two other commetators like Bob Davie and Mark Jones, but not necessarily them. ESPN U and Plus (or 360) would have others. A pre and post game show (GameDay) where you could watch what's going on and skip to the parts where your team is mentioned in Dynasty mode. Make it look like an ESPN televised game. Same fonts and style of presentation. Almost all games are on TV now. Now we have ESPN Plus or Gameplan that has almost all games. Then you could also have the new SEC and Big East Networks.

I personally don't think Corso is annoying if you play along with the commentary and realize the humor, but that's just me. Like one time, Kirk said to Corso: "that looks like the play i beat you with in the EA video game!", i thought that was humorous that Corso was all "Hey, I've been practicing!" and stuff.

But i do agree it needs an update.

Yep. We replaced him last year, however there were some problems with the recordings and had to revert to the old guy. The PA will be updated with a new announcer and just better all around speech next year. I'm working on this right now actually.
