Question Question

When you look at your recruiting board it look like this...

CL---RK---PLAYER---POS---INT---CH---STAGE---VISIT---OFR

CL=Call
RK=Rank
PLAYER=Players name
POS=Players position
INT=Interest
CH=Interest change
STAGE=?
VISIT=When he had a visit or if he is ready
OFR=If you offered him a scholarship and how many teams have offered him one.

I need to know what STAGE means. Does it mean they have locked it down to the top 5 or 10 because it shows top 3, top 5 and top 10 and I have no clue what it means. Does anyone know for sure what it means?

Re: Question

Stage means that the player has narrowed his list down to those schools. So if your outside the stage area.....its not likely you will sign him.

You always want to be inside that stage. If you wait to long to offer a scholarship it might be too late.

Me personally ive never recall signing a prospect who was outside the stage.

If you are 4th on the list and his stage is top 3. You might have a slight chance at landing him, but my advice to you is too move along and try for someone else at the same position.

Re: Question

Also, top 5 is huge for in season recruits and top 3 is huge for off season recruits. When the recruit hits those stags, that's when you can do visits and only the schools in their top 5/3 can arrange visits.

Re: Question

It is quite difficult if you are outside the top 5 and he is at that stage, but it is not impossible depending on how actively other people are recruiting him
