Connection Issue

Searching through the archives I’ve seen others with this same message, but not much in the way of a solution or workaround…
“Session No Longer Available” is the message I get just about any time my friend and I try to play a game. The game invite is accepted and we are both sent to the team selection screen, but that is when things break, and the message pops up. Once we get it, it always derails the entire night because we can’t get past it. We both reset our cable modems, routers, and 360s, but none of that works. Then, as soon as the message appears, it will disappear the following night, and we can play all night long.
Further, on the nights where he and I can’t connect, we can both play random strangers without any problems. Then, when the ‘stranger’ game completes, we’ll try to play each other, but no go. We get the connection error message.
Any ideas or solutions?

Sorry, I just posted this topic as a new thread but found this old post. This is the same problem my friend and I are having on the PS3. However, everytime we try to play our online dynasty game this happens and never have been able to get it to work. Any thoughts? The other users we play in our dynasty work fine for both of us, its just when the two of us play each other it doesn't work.
