Another thing that Ian and Co. did this year that was promising. There arent any stupid fluff non-sense in M10. All the feature added was to improve game play or enhance the atmosphere(except for the some of the DLC's). That to me shows a team that gets it. There were two major additions to NCAA10 a) Team Builder(with was a waste to half) and b) Season Showdown(a waste to all).

This game keeps getting minor tweaks and repackaged then shipped out. Either this team is being handicapped with their budget, are lazy and/or dont care, or incompetent. There is no other explanation for the lack of progress since they moved over to this gen.

The game most certainly has some arcade elements but I honestly cannot think of one better overall football game for the entire package. I know probably the one that comes closest is Football Pro on the PC from Sierra back in the day, that was seriously sim but the graphics, sound, everything else was pretty crappy. Madden definitely has a ton of room for improvement but I don't think it will ever be totally sim as that is not what the public wants.

I think there were some improvements to the core gameplay in 10, especially the running game. However, there needs to be huge improvements to blocking and passing this year for me to purchase.

One word: laziness

The NCAA team needs an Ian Cummings-type to personally take on the task of making the best game possible with the time they have. That's why I dont complain about Madden this year. I SEE effort on that game. Effort goes a long way for me.

Adding windsocks does not = effort
Bringing BACK bowl endzones does not = effort
Season Showdown and other modes no one really uses does not = effort

Just my opinion of course....
