Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

i am betting that karlos dansby (#11 for auburn) will be one of the highest rated players in the game. i bet he will be one of the best all around players- across the board.

Why should Kevin Jones get a higher rating than WVU's Quincy Wilson?

Probably because he's better.

Robert Gallery, OT for Iowa, and Bob Sanders, SS for Iowa, will have very high ratings.

And btw, people, Iowa's going to be a lot better than you think. So get ready....

Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

As the second man to Lee Suggs, Kevin Jones ran for 871 yards on 160 carries, which is 5.4 ypc.

As the second man to Avon Cobourne, Quincy Wilson ran for 901 yards on 140 carries, which is 6.4 ypc.

Neither caught many passes - Wilson with 8, Jones with 4.

Head to head, Wilson ran for 125 yards on 11 carries while Jones ran for 36 yards on 9 carries.

However Jones was a highly regarded recruit out of high school and pulled the PSU jersy switch on signing day. Thus, publicity. Stats tell a different story.

A small forgotten fact in all of this is that KJ missed 2 games with a hammy injury. so 871 in 11 games in 79.2 ypg, while wilson's 901 in 13 games is 69.3 ypg. they are both good though, and wilson should be preseason all big east-what's up with this lil munchkin derrick knight crap. see ya in november

Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

I think it will be Clarett just because of the overrated hype around him. Clarett is good but not the best running back Kevin Jones and Anothony Davis are better. But Roy Williams should be the best Offensive player and Marlin Jackson and Tommie Harris the best defensive players
