Re: Best player in NCAA 2004

Looking at the numbers from last year, they do a fair job of giving guys at low-profile schools high ratings if they put up the numbers.

Obviously one problem with rating guys in conferences like the MAC is that they don't go out against the same competition as the big boys. I'm not sure there's any perfect solution to the problem.

I bet Gamble will be very high, possibly a 98. I think Rashaun Woods should be very high as well as Roy Williams.

Actually Rasco, you're pretty much right on the ball. Manning is the best QB, followed by Pickett Rivers and Roberson as top guys.

Gamble IS a 99 in the game. I think Cal's Mike williams was a 97, Roy Williams was a 99, and the other williams was really high too.

Jones is rated much higher than than Wilson, who I did not see near the top.

I wish I could remember the rest. Oh, Winslow is by far teh best TE, and the two guys I care about -- Tulane's QB J.P. Losman (81 or 85) and RB Mewelde Moore (91, me thinks) -- are rated highly, but not too much so.

I didn't really expect Wilson to be highly rated. He has done as much as, if not more than, Kevin Jones on the football field but lacks the publicity.

Regardless, I expect him to rush for 1500 this year at least.

Oops, my bad. Yeah, Cal's Mike Williams isn't very good, because he doesn't exist.

Jeez. Mike Williams that high as a SOPHOMORE (soph right?). I couldve sworn when he was lighting up the Ducks last year they said he was a true frosh (I did the math so I figured he was a sophomore if I am thinking of the right guy).

Steven Jackson should be up there near the top.
